International Women’s Day 2005

We had a successful event for International Women’s Day, with 150 women, children and some men friends spending the day in the park.  Marlena Sue Basser and Zenith Virago compered the day, introducing performers and speakers, and encouraging us all to actively participate by contributing to the journals provided, and/or creating a “quilt patch’ which will be sewn into a banner for next year.

Many organizations and practitioners joined us on the day, bringing service information (some providing free services on the spot), and all celebrating together. Our special thanks to the MCs and performers who freely donated their talents, and ALL women who joined us!

See you next year: March 8th!
